Chennai | April 15, 2026: In a significant step toward strengthening preventive healthcare for India’s ageing population. Geri Care, India’s pioneer in integrated eldercare, today announced the launch of ‘India’s first dedicated Geriatric Vaccination Centre’, exclusively for senior citizens. The vaccination centre is now operational at Geri Care’s facilities in T. Nagar, Adambakkam and Adyar in Chennai as well as in all of its clinics and Skilled Nursing Facilities.

The centre was inaugurated by octogenarian Shri Prof. P.S. Chandramouli in the presence of Dr. Lakshmipathy Ramesh, Founder and Managing Director, Geri Care, along with leading clinicians, healthcare professionals and members of the senior community.

India is undergoing a rapid demographic shift, with its elderly population projected to grow from nearly 180 million today to over 350 million by 2050.
