He completed his undergraduate medical training from Stanley Medical College, Chennai and obtained his M.B.B.S. degree from the Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University in 1996.

He completed his training in Orthopedic Surgery at the erstwhile Tamilnad Hospital, Chennai, under the renowned Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Nandkumar Sundaram, in 2000. He obtained his D.N.B. in Orthopedic Surgery from the National Board of Education, New Delhi.

He further trained under Dr. Nandkumar Sundaram at Malar Hospitals, Chennai. He specialized in Primary joint replacement of the knee and hip joints, Revision joint replacement of the knee and hip joints, complex trauma surgeries and Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic surgeries of the knee and shoulder joints.

He completed Fellowship in primary and revision Joint Replacements from Kantonspital Aarau, Switzerland under Prof. Med. J. Huber. He further trained in Joint Replacement surgeries and revision hip and knee replacements under Prof. Michel Brax in Haguenau, France.

He trained in Arthroscopic surgeries of the knee and shoulder at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Hong Kong.

He has trained in Computer Navigated total knee replacement and Robotic knee and hip surgeries and uni- compartmental knee arthroplasty.

He is a leading authority in knee, hip and shoulder replacement and revision surgeries, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgeries, complex trauma surgeries and minimal- invasive fracture fixation techniques. He has presented many papers at leading Orthopedic conferences and journals, and regularly attends national and international Orthopedic conferences.
