Dr. K.S. Kesavaraj is a Consultant Geriatrician and Palliative Care Physician who looks after older adults with complex, overlapping health needs. His work covers the hospital ward, the geriatric ICU, the outpatient clinic and the patient's own home. Across all of these settings, he aims to help older people stay as well, independent and comfortable as possible, and to support the families who care for them.

He completed his MBBS at Tanjore Medical College. He then earned his MD in Geriatrics at the Regional Geriatric Centre, Madras Medical College, Chennai. After that, he completed the Global Fellowship in Palliative Medicine at the Institute of Palliative Medicine, Kozhikode. He also holds a Diploma in Child Health from the Institute of Child Health, Egmore, and has trained in Life Saving Anaesthetic Skills. This gives him a broad clinical foundation that is valuable in acute and emergency care of older adults.

He has a particular interest in home-based care. He trained in house-call medicine and served on the House Call Program at the Dr. VSN Geriatric Foundation. His approach combines comprehensive geriatric assessment, careful medication review, symptom control and honest, family-centred conversations about goals of care.
