Coimbatore, 31 August 2026: Geri Care successfully concluded the Geri Care Geriatrics Conclave 2026 and the 3rd Asia Pacific Geriatric Oncology Society (AGOS) Conference, held on August 29-30 at The Residency Towers, Coimbatore. The two-day conference brought together 200+ clinicians, including geriatricians, oncologists, physicians, and postgraduate students from India and abroad, to discuss emerging trends, challenges, and best practices in geriatrics and geriatric oncology. The conclave was organised under the aegis of the Geri Care Foundation in association with the Indian Academy of Geriatrics (IAG) and AGOS

The conclave was led by Dr. Lakshmipathy Ramesh, Founder & MD of Geri Care, Dr. Purvish Parikh, President of the Asian Geriatric Oncology Society (AGOS) and Dr. Rejiv Rajendranath, Senior Medical Oncologist at Geri Care. The scientific programme was chaired by Dr. Magesh R, while Dr. Rejiv Rajendranath served as the Organising Chairman of the conference. The event also featured keynote addresses by Dr. Sridhar Vaitheswaran, Psychiatrist and Dr. Roop Gursahani, Neurologist. It was supported by the organising secretaries Dr. S. Sadasivam, one of the oldest practising oncologists in India, Dr Hemant Malhotra, Medical Oncologist & Director of Mahatma Gandhi Hospital, Jaipur and Dr. Santhosh Manikandan, Geriatric Consultant, alongside a distinguished faculty of national and international experts in geriatrics and geriatric oncology.

Themed "From Frailty to Function," the conclave featured scientific sessions, keynote lectures, panel discussions and case-based deliberations covering a broad range of topics, including frailty management, dementia care, geriatric rehabilitation, palliative care, heart failure in older adults, Parkinson's rehabilitation, geriatric oncology, artificial intelligence in healthcare, machine learning applications and emerging technologies for elder care.

Dr. Lakshmipathy Ramesh, Founder & Managing Director, Geri Care Health Services Pvt Ltd, said: "India's ageing population calls for a stronger focus on specialised, integrated models of elder care. A dedicated Gero Technology Showcase featured emerging products and solutions designed to improve the lives of older adults, spanning age-tech, assistive devices, remote monitoring, fall prevention, telehealth, caregiver support and AI-led innovations. The platform brought startups, established companies, researchers and grassroots innovators directly before the clinicians and experts, creating opportunities for live demonstrations, industry interactions and meaningful collaborations.

Dr. Rejiv Rajendranath, Senior Consultant Oncologist at Geri Care Hospitals and Organising Chairman of the Conclave, said: "This year’s conclave highlighted the growing importance of multidisciplinary care in addressing the complex health needs of older adults. The conclave also showcased advances in geriatric oncology, rehabilitation sciences and community-based elder care, while providing opportunities for academic exchange through scientific presentations, interactive case discussions and networking sessions among healthcare professionals.
